YNGPPL is a free printed zine made by people aged 12 to 18. This page says exactly what we collect, who we will and will not collect it from, and how to make it stop. It is written to be read in about ninety seconds by a parent.
We collect one email address, from people 13 and over, and we use it once to say the issue is out. We do not sign up anyone under 13. We do not sell, rent or share anything with an advertiser. Ask us and it is deleted.
The signup asks the year you were born before it asks anything else. If that makes you under 13, nothing is collected at all. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent, and nothing is counted. A parent or guardian can sign up with their own address instead, and we will write to them rather than to the child.
We also do not store the birth year itself. It is used to decide yes or no and then it is gone.
We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, analytics that follow you between sites, or any third party script. There is no account and there is no app.
If your child sends work in for a bounty, we hold four things and nothing else:
Under 13, a parent or guardian submits on the child's behalf and the permission we keep on file is the adult's, not the child's. Payment for anyone under 18 goes to the parent or guardian, never directly to the young person.
Write to hello@yngppl.xyz and ask. We delete the record that week and we write back to say it is done. You do not need to give a reason and you do not need to be the person who signed up, if you are their parent or guardian.
